A Six-Week Immersive Coaching Experience
Safe toReceive
You love your life—but you rarely let yourself fully exhale inside of it. This is the room where you learn to receive it all.
I’m Ready to ReceiveYou love your life. You know you are blessed. But you are so busy holding it all together that you rarely let yourself fully exhale inside of it. You should be able to enjoy the life you have created, but even in the moments you prayed for, part of you is still scanning for what needs to be handled next.
When your safety has become tied to being capable, needed, prepared, and in control, receiving does not feel natural. It feels vulnerable—and simply recognizing the pattern has not been enough to change how you live.
Safe to Receive isthe room for you.
Over six weeks, you will begin releasing the beliefs and patterns that have kept you over-functioning, self-abandoning, and carrying more than was ever yours—so you can receive love, support, rest, joy, opportunity, and the goodness already present in your life.
I’m Ready to ReceiveLet me tell you what is true
Let me tell you what I believe is true for you, and you can tell me if I’m wrong…
You are the woman people call when something needs to be handled. You solve the problem, steady the room, remember the detail, make the plan, and keep moving. People admire your strength, but sometimes you wonder whether anyone knows how to care for you when you are not being strong.
From the outside, your life may look full and beautiful—and it is. But gratitude has started to feel like the reason you should not want anything more, need anything different, or admit that something within you still feels unsettled. Your mind stays one step ahead—thinking about tomorrow while making dinner, solving someone else’s problem during the conversation in front of you.
You say you want help, but when someone does it differently than you would, you step back in. You want to rest, but first the kitchen needs to be clean, the messages answered, the plan confirmed, and everyone around you settled. By the time you have earned the right to stop, you are too exhausted to enjoy it.
You have prayed, journaled, read the books, listened to the podcasts, and tried to be the healthiest version of yourself. You understand many of your patterns—and still repeat them in the moments that matter.
You are not falling apart. You are functioning beautifully. But functioning beautifully and fully living are not the same thing.
You’re Speaking Right to Me
This used to be me
This used to beme.
I believed there was something almost mathematical about creating a good life. If something was not working, there must be something I had not figured out yet. And because I was capable and willing to do the work, there was always one more thing I could try.
From the outside, much of it looked incredibly healthy. But without realizing it, I had begun asking those beautiful things to give me something they could never guarantee: certainty. I had created an impossible equation—when everything around me is okay, then I can be okay.
So when something was not okay, I did not simply experience the disappointment, sadness, uncertainty, or fear that came with it. I went to work. I thought I was creating stability. I did not yet understand how much I depended on external stability to feel secure within myself.
Until I realized I did not need to become less strong. I needed to stop using my strength to protect me from ever having to need, trust, wait, receive, or be disappointed.
I’m Saying Yes to Myself
Your safety & your burden
Capability has become both your safety and your burden.
High-functioning women do not always look overwhelmed. Sometimes overwhelm looks like never sitting down long enough to feel what is true.
- Sometimes fear looks like preparation.
- Sometimes control looks like excellence.
- Sometimes self-abandonment looks like love.
- Sometimes earning looks like faithfulness.
- Sometimes being needed feels so familiar that receiving without proving feels almost wrong.
What once helped you feel safe may now be keeping you from the intimacy, support, peace, and aliveness you desire. Receiving asks you to trust without controlling every detail, to tell the truth before you know how everyone will respond, and to believe that what you need matters before you have made yourself useful enough to deserve it.
Sound familiar?
I’m Ready for a Different Way
Not a tradeoff
Receivingis not a tradeoff.
When you learn to receive, your strength does not disappear. What begins to leave is the fear, pressure, and proving that have been driving it. I know you do not want a smaller life—you do not want to stop caring, lower your standards, abandon your ambition, or wait for other people to create your happiness.
- You want to love your people without carrying their entire emotional experience.
- You want to accomplish meaningful things without believing rest has to be earned through exhaustion.
- You want to be generous without giving past the point of honesty.
- You want to feel supported without becoming dependent.
- You want to desire more without making your present life wrong.
This work is not about needing less from life. It is about expanding your capacity to receive more of the life you already have—and more of the goodness still available to you.
You can be strong and supported.Grateful and desiring.Loving and honest.Faithful and fully alive.
I’ve Been Waiting for This
The invitation
Softness does notmake you weak.
The shift
After Safe to Receive,you’ll…
- Feel present in the life you worked so hard to create because your attention is no longer constantly scanning for what needs to be managed next.
- Know what you want without immediately judging it, minimizing it, spiritualizing it, or deciding it is too much.
- Ask for what you need without overexplaining, apologizing, or making it easier for everyone else before you say it.
- Allow the people you love to have their own feelings without automatically making those feelings mean you have done something wrong.
- Experience rest as part of a well-lived life rather than a reward reserved for the moment everything is finally finished.
- Receive help without correcting, supervising, taking the task back, or secretly deciding it would have been easier to do it yourself.
- Trust yourself to respond to life as it unfolds instead of preparing perfectly for every possible outcome.
- Feel safe enough to enjoy a good season without searching the horizon for what could take it away.
- Recognize the difference between love and over-responsibility, service and self-abandonment, wisdom and control, gratitude and suppression.
- Make decisions from desire, truth, faith, and alignment instead of guilt, fear, urgency, approval, or obligation.
- Create more honest intimacy because the people closest to you are finally able to know you—not only the endlessly available version of you.
- Become available for support, love, opportunity, joy, and immeasurably more without believing you have to earn it first.
Awareness vs. change
Awarenessis not transformation.
You may already be exceptionally self-aware. You can name the pattern. You know where it began. And still, you do the same thing when the moment becomes emotionally charged—because information alone does not create a new lived response.
You do not need another list of things to remember during a hard conversation, or seventeen new habits that turn healing into another performance. You need a place to notice what is happening in real time, tell the truth without judgment, be coached through the exact moments where you normally leave yourself, and practice a different response until it becomes available outside the room.
Knowing that you people-please is awareness.
Letting someone be disappointed without rushing to change your answer is change.
Knowing that you struggle to receive help is awareness.
Allowing someone to contribute without taking control is change.
Knowing that you have desires is awareness.
Naming them, honoring them, and allowing them to inform your choices is change.
Knowing that uncertainty makes you anxious is awareness.
Trusting yourself while the outcome remains unknown is change.
Safe to Receive is where we move from understanding the pattern to living a new possibility.
The offer
Safe to Receive
Safe to Receive is a six-week immersive coaching experience for the high-capacity woman of faith who is ready to stop living as though everything depends on her. This is not about getting rid of your strength, responsibility, standards, generosity, or desire to create a beautiful life. It is about changing where those things are coming from.
- Instead of strength driven by fear, strength rooted in self-trust.
- Instead of generosity driven by guilt, generosity chosen from love.
- Instead of responsibility used to create certainty, responsibility held alongside trust.
- Instead of gratitude used to silence desire, gratitude expansive enough to include it.
- Instead of connection maintained through self-abandonment, connection built through honesty.
Over six weeks, we will uncover the learned identities and beliefs shaping how you love, give, decide, rest, desire, and receive. This is not an information-heavy course you have to race through—it is an intimate coaching experience designed to meet you inside your actual life: your marriage, your calendar, your family, your decisions, your desires, the rest you keep postponing, and the beautiful thing happening right now that you are afraid to trust.
What will change
What will change insideSafe to Receive
- You stop waiting for everyone and everything around you to be okay before you allow yourself to be okay.
- You begin experiencing safety as something you can create within yourself, not something another person’s behavior, approval, or follow-through must provide.
- You stop treating every desire like a problem that must be justified. You trust that desire and discernment can exist together.
- You no longer automatically say yes because no might disappoint someone. Your yes becomes honest. Your no becomes clean.
- You stop measuring your goodness by how little you need from anyone else, and let the people who love you show up in their own way.
- You recognize when caring has quietly become carrying, and love people without taking responsibility for their choices, emotions, or outcomes.
- You become available for joy because you are no longer treating every good moment like the calm before the storm.
- You recover the parts of yourself that became quiet beneath responsibility: your preferences, creativity, pleasure, honesty, playfulness, and longings.
- Grace becomes something you receive, not only something you extend to everyone else.
- You begin building a life that is not simply impressive, responsible, or well managed—but one you are fully here to experience.
Who this is for
Is this room yours?
Safe to Receive is for you if…
- You are a high-capacity woman who has done many things “right” and is tired of always being the strong one.
- You love your life and feel grateful, but you are not always as present within it as you want to be.
- You are ready to stop proving your worth by carrying everything alone.
- You find it easier to offer care, help, grace, time, and support than to receive them.
- You want to know who you are outside of what everyone needs from you.
- You are ready to tell the truth about your desires without labeling them selfish or ungrateful.
- You want to love others deeply without losing connection with yourself.
- You desire a faith-rooted experience that honors both God’s leadership and your personal agency.
Safe to Receive is not for you if…
- You are looking for someone else to make your decisions, guarantee your outcomes, or become the source of your safety.
- You want more information but are unwilling to examine how these patterns operate in your present life.
- You want to use “boundaries” to control other people rather than care for yourself.
- You are committed to keeping everyone comfortable and are not yet willing to experience the honest discomfort change can create.
- You want a program that tells you exactly what to do without asking you to develop self-trust and discernment.
- You need individualized clinical mental-health treatment rather than coaching.
This room is not about being good enough, healed enough, or spiritually mature enough to belong. It is about being willing to tell the truth, remain curious, receive support, and practice becoming the woman you already sense you are ready to be.

Meet Lori
Hi, I’m LoriJ. Smith.
I’m a faith + life and relationship coach, and I help women create lives and relationships that feel as beautiful on the inside as they may already look from the outside.
My work is for the woman who has built a full life, loves her people deeply, and is beginning to realize that being capable of carrying everything does not mean she was created to. I understand what it costs to make your peace dependent on everything around you being okay.
My coaching brings faith and agency together. We make room for God’s grace, truth, and leadership while honoring your responsibility to know yourself, tell the truth, and remain connected to the woman He created you to be.
I do not believe you need to become less powerful in order to receive. I believe receiving is part of your power. I do not believe desire is evidence that you are dissatisfied with God’s goodness. I believe desire can reveal where life is still inviting you to awaken.
Safe to Receive brings this work together in one intimate six-week experience—so the woman who has spent years creating a beautiful life can finally become present enough to live it.
Sound familiar?
Do any of thesesound familiar?
- You are hyper-independent, proud of how much you can handle, and privately exhausted that everyone assumes you always can.
- You want your husband, family, or team to take more initiative, but struggle not to correct, anticipate, or take back control when they do.
- You keep imagining a finish line where everyone is happy and you finally get to enjoy your life—but that finish line keeps moving.
- You feel unsettled when someone is unhappy with you, even when you know their feelings are not yours to fix.
- You are in a new season and quietly asking, “Who am I now?” and “What do I actually want?”
- You say you want support but receiving it feels slower, messier, and more vulnerable than carrying it alone.
- You are tired of being told simply to surrender or trust more when no one has shown you what that looks like without disappearing from your own life.
- You know there is more available—not necessarily more achievement, but more peace, pleasure, connection, intimacy, joy, and aliveness.

Why nothing has changed yet
It isn’t that you failed at growth.
The reason your insight has not created the full shift you want is not that you have failed at personal growth. You may have been trying to use better thoughts to override a pattern that feels protective in the moment.
- You know you do not have to fix everyone’s feelings, but when someone is disappointed, restoring connection still feels urgent.
- You know you deserve rest, but unfinished work still feels like a reason to stay activated.
- You know you can ask for help, but depending on someone still exposes you to uncertainty.
- You know you are allowed to desire, but wanting something different can still feel like criticism of the life you have.
This is why Safe to Receive is built around teaching, coaching, reflection, and practice—not information alone. Together, we slow down the moments that normally happen automatically, uncover the belief beneath the response, and create a new way for you to stay with yourself. You will not be given a perfect script for every circumstance. You will become the woman who trusts herself enough to meet the circumstance.
About the experience
About Safe to Receive
Safe to Receive is a six-week intensive cohort created for women with full lives. It is focused enough to create momentum and spacious enough to let you integrate what you are learning without turning your growth into another impossible standard. Each week gives you a clear place to focus—two concise teachings, coaching that meets your real life, and a weekly practice guide. Across six weeks, those guides build your complete Safe to Receive workbook, and you keep lifetime access to the teachings, coaching replays, and materials.
The experience moves through the Safe to Receive Method:
She Awakens
You notice what has become automatic. You reconnect with desire and begin telling the truth about what you want without guilt.
She Knows
You separate who you are from who you learned to be. You build self-trust and learn to belong to yourself while loving others.
She Aligns
You make choices that honor what you know instead of responding automatically from fear, guilt, approval, or obligation.
She Lives
You practice receiving support, rest, connection, love, joy, and the life in front of you as your new way of being.
This is not about creating a perfectly peaceful version of yourself. It is about becoming a woman who knows how to return to herself when real life happens.
